The expert team at MW Recruitment is at your disposal.

The in-depth skills, experience and specific banking and financial services working history of the members of the MW Recruitment team are the most important and attractive part of the proposition we offer candidates and employers.

Ultimately it’s too easy for a recruitment consultancy to focus just on placing candidates without regard to how that placement helps the candidate’s long-term career goals or how that placement helps the employer client’s long-term commercial and professional objectives. This is why all of us at MW take such a pride personally in focusing on those two crucial factors.

Here’s the team at MW Recruitment.

Daniel Cohen - Director 
Daniel has an enviable reputation within the recruitment profession for being one of the leading recruiters in the banking and financial services profession.

He spent the early part of his career at recruitment consultancy Jonathan Wren and during his eighteen years there achieved renown by becoming their top billing consultant, billing more than a million pounds in fees in some years.

Daniel now heads the MW Recruitment team. He has worked across many product lines and job functions over the years and has focused particularly on recruiting people for back, middle and front office support and compliance/risk. The breadth of Daniel’s experience is continually broadening and he is highly regarded by employer clients and by candidates alike, both of whom respect his keen interest in their agenda and their priorities and the consultative approach he brings to the recruitment profession.
Malcolm Wood
Malcolm is a former broker, trader and salesman in the financial services industry. He has worked at Jonathan Wren and achieved many significant goals there, including being one of the highest billing consultants at the organisation. He has also been managing director of Hamilton Chase.

Malcolm brings a great depth of experience in the City of London to his recruitment consultancy professional work today. He started his career in the City in 1972, in the pre-Big Bang environment, as a stockjobber on the floor of the London Stock Exchange. Malcolm worked his way up to become the chief executive of Investec Bank. During his rise within this bank he was a broker, a trader, a salesperson and desk head.

Malcolm decided to change his career path into banking recruitment in the year 2000 in order to help candidates and client employers find the best match to their needs and to use his extensive network that he has built up over the years. Today, Malcolm is recognised as one of the most prominent and highly respected recruitment consultants in the City of London.
Gary Worpole
Gary brings more than seven year’s experience with Merrill Lynch and the Royal Bank of Scotland to his work today as a recruitment consultant with a particular specialisation in the back and middle office. Altogether he has 15 years of experience in the banking and recruitment world.

As a senior recruitment consultant, Gary has successfully placed numerous candidates in key positions across operations, compliance/risk, trade finance, loans/credit administration, relationship management assisting candidates to prosper in new career positions and helping employers find the right person for their position. His work as a banker naturally helps him in his work of matching the right candidate to the right employer.
Maz Matin
Maz has extensive financial services recruitment experience from her time at Jonathan Wren in the City. She has recently returned to specialising in banking recruitment after running her own business in Digital Marketing.

Maz understands and appreciates the challenges faced by her clients due to her varied background which includes experience as an in-house recruiter. As a result you’ll find she’ll go the extra mile to make sure her clients and candidates receive excellent service.
Bryn Wesson
Bryn is a highly experienced financial services recruitment expert who has also spent time in advisory broking within a boutique commodity firm. He has extensive experience of working with financial services firms to help them find the right candidate for their position and is extremely comfortable advising on and handling all types of client projects and assignments, no matter how complex and demanding these might be.

Bryn’s particular career achievements include putting together the London Metal Exchange operations team for a Cat 2 member and also multiple CXO [this abbreviation may need clarifying] placements. He has received voluntarily from many of his clients exclusive business to handle specific and usually extremely mission-critical recruitment assignments. Bryn’s winning of these exclusive assignments stems substantially from his experience and from the strength of the relationships he has established and maintained.

Bryn’s specialisations today are front office, compliance, middle office and operations. He pursues these specialities across a wide range of key financial markets, including: capital markets (primary and secondary), transaction banking, corporate lending, asset management, hedge funds, investment banking and private equity.

As well as Daniel, Malcolm and Bryn, the team at MW Recruitment Limited is supported by two researchers, one who is a former trader at Credit Suisse and the other who is a former broker.
 
David Moyle
David is one of London’s most experienced headhunters within the area of quantitative finance having been specialising in this field since 2001. His coverage includes; Quantitative Analysts, Quantitative Developers, Model Validation, Algorithmic Trading, and Risk Management both in Europe and Asia. The candidates he places range in experience from VP to MD level and, as a full life-cycle search consultant, David proactively manages all stages of the headhunting process from origination through to execution.
Lucia Dvorakova - Junior Consultant
Originally from Slovakia. Lucia arrived in the UK aged 14 without speaking a word of English. She was fluent within a year. After graduating from Aberystwyth obtaining a degree in Business Economics Lucia gained experience in varied and diverse internship roles followed by two years in sales and events management for a national pub chain in Kensington.
Joining the MW team has given Lucia the chance to launch herself further into the professional world and she’s loving every moment. Honest, bubbly and with the ‘can do attitude’, Her positivity and enthusiasm is contagious.
