Job Description

A leading banking institution based in the City wish to recruit a head of credit for a financial sponsors portfolio for financial institutions, you will be responsible for a team of 6 people supporting private market Fund Managers through the provision of Capital Call facilities.

Main Duties

As Head of Credit, Financial Sponsors, you will lead the Team and Manage the credit quality of our Financial Sponsors portfolio, overseeing Fund Finance to Top Tier Private Equity, Secondaries and Private Debt Managers

Senior member of the FI Credit Leadership team as well as being the Sector Head for Financial Sponsors, supporting and constructively challenging the business, helping to structure robust, commercially viable deals and shape strategy. 

Strong technical and analytical skills, shaping and reviewing the terms of complex transactions and you will be empowered to make decisions with a sizeable delegated credit authority.

Contribute to the design and delivery of sector strategy, appetite, credit policies and processes to help manage the portfolio, and you will be a trusted business partner who can be a role model across FI Credit

As a Sector Head you will also engage with and support the wider team in FI Credit including Securitisation, Clearing Houses & Intermediaries, Sovereigns, Banks & Intra-group, and Insurance

Experience Required

5-10 years credit experience as a minimum, demonstrating an ability to assess credit risk,  shape deal structures and lead client due diligence meetings.

Rounded leadership skills, able to articulate your vision and bring out the best in people. 

Great organizational skills, able to juggle competing priorities while effectively focusing on what matters most.

Demonstrable track record in making decisions and ability to communicate succinctly and efficiently in a clear and unambiguous manner.
