Job Description

My client is a well established and successful trading house now  looking for a experienced HR Business Partner for their newly opened offices in Amsterdam. The office will grow and you will be an integral part of this exciting time. They are well established with HO in London & offices in Australia, New York, Singapore & more. They pride themselves on being a great place to work and staff are well looked after. Key duties will include

  • Responsible for the successful relationship between HR and your allocated Client Group
  • Accountable for ensuring that all administrative functions and support, usually performed by HR Administrators or Interns, are correct and up to date for your allocated Client Group. This may include allocating, monitoring, training on, and covering for such duties when required. Examples include onboarding, probation, reviews, processing changes, HR systems administration, and HR documentation
  • Accountable for the accurate and timely payroll administration for your client group
  • Accountable for the successful mid-year and year-end review process 
  • Deliver effective support to the HR Manager and wider business, ensuring operational excellence across all aspects of the HR function
  • Establishing strong relationships with stakeholders, identifying opportunities to add value to the Employee Experience and strengthening the relationship between HR and your Client Group
  • Identify, deliver and maintain Engagement, Wellness & Retention Initiatives
  • Identify the HR needs of your allocated Client Group, prioritising and aligning against the wider business objectives
  • Collaborate with others in the People team to align on the Employee Experience across Client Group and other office regions
  • Provide Coaching, Development & Enablement advice, services and support, supported by the Learning, Development & Inclusion Specialist
  • Advising on employee opportunities and issues and handling Employee Relations cases 
  • Work with leaders to ensure succession planning is in place and support in organisational design planning and restructures
  • Coach, train and mentor HR Generalists, Administrators and Interns locally and within the wider team, as applicable
  • This role may provide opportunities for line management duties
  • Any other HR tasks as determined by the Director of Operations and HR Manager

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience within a HR capacity, preferably within a trading environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Netherlands HR landscape (Netherlands labour law, legislation,  immigration etc.) and able to transfer legal requirements into HR processes
  • Proven experience serving as a HR point of contact to managers and leaders in a business
  • Brave enough to respectfully challenge the current process and procedure
  • Flexibility and ability to manage several projects/priorities in a very fast-paced environment
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication
